Squirrels and under floor heating
Monday 7 November , all packed up and in touring trim we set off from West Runton. First stop Clumber Park Caravan & Motorhome Club site in Nottinghamshire.
The road into the site has to be the grandest entrance to a campsite, through a grand arch and then along a tree lined drive. The site is situated in Clumber park estate now owned by the National Trust.
The campsite is surrounded by woodland and is very neat and tidy. The two facilities blocks are immaculate and had under floor heating which made Helen very happy. The dogs were particularly excited by the large number of squirrels inhabiting the site. Maybe the underfloor heating helped keep their nuts warm😂.
Wednesday we had a walk from the campsite through the forest to the site of the old hall and the lovely gardens. Not to be missed for the doggies was the Central Bark cafe which even had a mini dog agility course.
This was the first site since we started our adventure where we could get no mobile signal or tv reception. For TV we had to resort to using the satellite dish.
After a short 3 nights we are off again, this time to Conkers in the national forest.
