Going bonkers at Conkers

10 November & the next stop was the Camping & Caravanning Club site at Conkers in the National Forest.

We were there for 5 nights.  The national forest is essentially old industrial land from mining and clay works which have been put back to nature. It was a nice campsite but a little too near to urbanisation for me. We found a nice walk by a lake which was good for dog walking. It's always good to find a place where the dogs can have a safe run off the lead. The roads locally were very busy so we didn't venture far.

We also found our way to the local canal lock.

Tuesday 15 November and we off again, to Windermere in the Lake District 😃
