All the gear no idea
#Madorbrave We had the idea of giving it up and going off to work on a campsite for years. In July, whilst on summer hols, we decided we were going to take the plunge . Dick - I'd been looking online for secondhand caravans suitable for living in. There didn't seem to be many but I found one at the dealer just down the road from us. We we got home we went to see the guys at Farnham Leisure. Your joking we were told, that was sold the minute we got it. Oh dear it seemed that every body was buying caravans and you couldn't buy anything for love nor money. There was a new one available in February. So without looking at one, with no real idea we took the plunge and bought it. What have we done😅
So after a months of viewing You Tube caravan videos and ordering stuff from Paul at Farnham, pick up day came along, 1 Feb. We collected Bill, it's a Bailey caravan so named after Mr Bill Bailey (hope he doesn't mind). Both scared to death of we went and towed Bill to our storage site near Beccles. Phew.
Time to give it a go.
Sat 12 Feb we booked into the Camping & Caravan Club site at Sandringham in Norfolk. for 4 nights. Yep on the Royal Estate. Journey there went well with the boggy van towing just fine but a bit under powered. It has to be said it is a very long rig.
It was all a bit new to us. Despite being seasoned campers and campervaners we have never had a caravan. First challenge was getting that van on the pitch. Luckily the holiday site manager took pity on us and found a pitch we could just drive onto. Then we set about playing with all the gear.

We were going to to try and erect the awning but the wind and train put paid to that. However we had a good few days and the dogs successfully have filled Bill full of dog hair and sand. Happy days.
