Coast Path & Pasties

11 April saw us travel down to Veryan Camping & Caravan Club site on the South Coast of Cornwall. Everyone was warning us about a fuel shortage but we had no issues (apart from the price!). We stayed based at Veryan over Easter until 25 April. It's a lovely camp site and Ady, Steph, Brian & Clare made us feel very welcome and gave us some great advice on working on campsites.
Veryan is a great base to explore Cornwall, on the South coast but only a short hope to the North Coast.
Veryan is also close to the Lost Gardens of Heligan, expensive but well worth a visit and dogs allowed and well catered for🐕
We did some great walks and found some nice beaches. Near Veryan we highly recommend Carne & Pendower beaches (they join at low tide). The massive and dog friendly Watergate bay is well worth the short drive to the North Coast (top beach picture above). We used the beach guide web site which is really useful, gives tides and dog info etc. www.thebeachguide.co.uk/
There are some great walks on the coast path and we highly recommend the walk around the St Anthony's Head, Starting and finishing at Porth Farm, about 5 1/2 miles.
